DECLARATION UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY PURSUANT TO 28 USCA 1746
I, Ashley Astle declare and state as follows:
Name of Program:
Spring Creek Lodge
Location of Program:
Thompson Falls, MT
Period of Internment (MM/YY to MM/YY)
1998-2001
Declarative Statement
I was in Spring Creek Lodge for 26 months. I not only witnessed abuse and brainwashing but I was subject to it. More importantly I was informed that there is 3 buildings full of all the students records that have been abandoned at the former property of Spring Creek Lodge. I alerted the Sanders County police department today 1/30/2014 and they confirmed the records are there. They told me that even though it is our personal information (medical records, family rep reports, ect.) They could not release it to us because it is still property of Spring Creek lodge. They also told me the new owners (Academy for National Native Leadership) would contact the previous owners to get permission to destroy the records. I’ve been making phone calls all day trying to find someone to get these records back to the students but there is nobody that oversees this “school” due to the fact it is privately owned.
I give WWASPSurvivors permission to use this statement. I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
Executed on(date: MM/DD/YY): 1/30/2014
Thank you for trying Ashley ❤️
Ashley, I know another 10 years have gone by, but did you have any luck retrieving your records? My daughter spent 9 months at Spring Creek — worst mistake of my life — and I would like to get hold of her records, as she’s still having problems related to her treatment there.
