Trying to remember what all I’ve suppressed. I was enrolled from January 2004 until July 2004 when my exit plan changed from a trip to the homeless shelter to a bus ticket home. I was 19 when I came to thompson falls so i was jr.staff. I was put in charge of a lower level family one day. There was this 16 year old who was extremely aggressive and much bigger than I am. I told the family to line up to go to class. This kid got right up in my face and yelled, “shut your pie hole”. To this I looked him dead in the eye and said, “I don’t eat pie.” That was the only time I ever saw him laugh. Shortly after that he was sent to tranquility bay. Wondering about his wellbeing has plagued my mind ever since.

About WWASP Survivors
WWASP Survivors is run by a dedicated group of concerned alumni of WWASP-affiliated programs.
Our mission is threefold:
Raise awareness of the true nature of WWASP Programs, to advocate for those still being held in “Troubled Teen” programs, and to provide validation and support to survivors of WWASP programs.
