I was there in 1985. I was on an adventure course and an excel course run by Steve & Nancey Cawdrey. At that time it was a very intense Outward Bound style program growing into a boarding program. I completed 10 days of survival, 10 days of mountaineering, and 10 or so days of kayaking. I got sick during one session and stayed at the “school” (tents and cabins) for several days to recover. During that time I met some hard-core teens and helped build where most of you lived. I was the only student in my group that in the final “circle” was headed home after the program.
