I was dropped off at Academy at Ivy Ridge by my mom and stepdad. They treated us like animals for the most part. We could look, talk or do anything without permission. We were watched in our sleep and even forced to use the bathroom while the stalls door were left at-least 5 inch from being shut. I was there over a year. We had no education taught to us other than straight independent work via books and paper tests unless we signed up for teacher help which one non credentialed man went around helping all the students that needed it. When I entered the program they made me take a drug test which showed that I failed which is incorrect because I hadn’t tried any drugs prior to being sent there.
They forced us to go to cult like seminars and the only background noise we could have while we ate meals in the cafeteria were motivational tapes playing aloud for all of us.
