My son was a student at Academy at Ivy Ridge from
August 2003 through March 2004. The reason he cannot speak of his time there, is because at the age of 35, he committed suicide. I feel I must be his voice now. I think that it is no coincidence that he had told me just 14 hours before–the real truth about his experience there. He was sexually assaulted by male staff and had been carrying this secret for 18 years. He was completely distraught while trying to tell me. I had never seen him in that state before. As far as I am concerned , they MURDERED HIM.
