I was a struggling teen facing undiagnosed bipolar disorder. I was suicidal, running away from home. Drowning in emotional pain. My parents said we were going to the beach. I was 16 years old, and I wanted to go. My parents then left me at CSA. First thing I did on property was try to kick the windows out of my mom’s car. Then the two men came and grabbed me. I was taken to the dorms where I was put on staff buddy. I was emotionally, mentally, and physically abused. It was awful. Since then I have had emotional abusive and physically abusive relationships. I have also had trouble setting boundaries with those closest to me. I never trusted women for a long time, I was always on guard. Luckily, my dad died and I went to jail. And it was in jail that I decided to turn my life around. I got mental health treatment and I got better. And I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Television Producing. And I’m trying to raise funds currently for a short about 5 program kids in different locations going through what we all went through.
