Declarative Statement

I am almost 34 years old now. I was an “insubordinate” unlikely to be brain washed girl of 14 when I was sent to live at Cross Creek Manor in Utah by a single mother who was unfortunately easily manipulated by an abusive new husband and a money hungry equally manipulative and more abusive rising empire. In my 18 months, I like many others experienced physical restraint, isolation for periods exceeding a month without human contact, and inadequate clothing for the temperatures I was exposed to as part of punishment, ridiculous spaces smaller than a kennel for a dog in which my days were to be spent on constantly monitored cameras writing fictional accounts of punishable situations in which I was to take all of the blame.. “accountability” in every way imaginable.
I was repeatedly threatened and punished for any truthful correspondence to my parents or grandparents about actual daily life in the “program” and I was more than once taunted and physically taken down to the ground and held with excessive body weight there, as I was told I gave a “look” that suggested I would attempt to flee from 5 grown men through the door of basically a closet. 18 months later I went home to live a life I have recently learned is the common better outcome of similar survivors in the sane facility with me, 10 plus years of heavy drug use trying desperately to find our way back to normal and try to understand what family and humanity means.
