Coerced into taking SSRIs. Staff Abuse. Inconsistent shower hygiene which ranged from warm showers for 3 minutes which was the best you could possibly get, to getting 30 second showers with freezing cold water if you were not good enough to get the warm showers first. Lacking education resources. And just straight up lies or half truths but even calling them half truths is giving PLP too much credit.

It seems the place hasn’t changed, I was at Pacific Life April 2016 to Jan 2017. Just about every kid was put onto the MAOI antidepressant straterra, often in heavy doses. Everyday was a constant nightmare of trying to remain as docile as possible to avoid solitary confinement. Staff consisted of ex cons who would never work around children in the US. Staff was fueled by power trips and constantly “picked” on the most emotionally damaged kids, waiting for them to “break”. The moment any kid shared their emotions and acted in any way that was not considered docile, they would be thrown into the hole. Meals were significantly smaller and served cold while in solitary. I thankfully only served two days in that room, and one of the days I was only offered water with my three meals. There was only one janitor for the entire campus of around 30 boys and 20 girls. Hygiene was treated as a luxury as the higher ranked kids got the warm water and full two minute shower, while the lower ranked kids were forced into ice cold, under a minute showers. I got a UTI my first month from using their water to brush my teeth, not even from drinking it. This list could go on and on, I feel I’ve gone long enough. Long story short, the staff and therapists used emotional and physical abuse in order to create “progress”. It seemed to only create cases of PTSD.
