I was diagnosed with severe depression at a young age due to a chronic health condition. I lived in Poway CA, at the time and the school district sent me there. when i looked at the brochure online about the program I was immediately excited, I knew I needed help so i went. once i got there i was put in Stabilization & Assessment Unit where i was not allowed to speak unless spoken to, i sat in a desk for 12 hours a day. Two weeks in to my stay i was moved to one of the dorm units. The first memory of abuse i remember was when a student escaped a student and would come back with a black eye and the staff had bruises on there hands and would also joke about hitting and beating them senseless and dragging them back in a van. The staffs first name was “Brody” I was also raped by a student and there was nothing done about it, instead I was called a liar and manipulator, when i got home i reported it and my dad called the school and the school said that there was no evidence of it. Eventually i started to have uncontrollable bowel movements, and they called it a behavior and kept me on the stabilization unit and put me on over 2,000 mg of Thorazine a day. I was then taken out and sent somewhere else.
