Wow …that was quite a while ago ..I do remember it being a rough one though the group that I was with we were some of the first ones there I want to say my number was like 23…. Well I think for me the hardest thing dealing with was the actual staff.. all the staff there were locals obviously except for to Jay and Randall.. and these weren’t like Kingston or Montego Bay native Jamaicans that were on the staff these were local country folks… Common reasoning with them was very very difficult… I’m referring to common reasoning and common sense that I had grown to know by living in the United States… I think a lot of times that I got in trouble with because of the different understandings between staff ( Jamaicans )and students (Americans)..for example their interpretation and understanding of some of the rules were different from the rules that we were told to follow from the get-go by the director… Basically what it turned out to be a just playing the role that your family father interpreted that role to be for completing the program…. So different family different set of rules to get ahead..oh my God at the seminars epic I wish I had a video tape of every one of those… Seen some messed up s*** there… Went through some messed-up s*** there… I remember having to get my wisdom teeth removed while I was down there and ended up getting three dry sockets three out of the four and wasn’t just excruciating pain for two full weeks… you would think a human being would help out another human being when they see that person in severe pain and maybe give him some Advil… Tylenol… That never happened…I remember getting in trouble lying face down on the concrete floor knows on the concrete and getting pepper sprayed if you move left or right.. they had a staff member sitting on a chair watching you lay there motionless on your face on your stomach just waiting for you to move so they can pepper spray it was a game to them… I got it pretty bad but not as bad as two other guys that I knew..after all these years I’ve always wondered what happened whatever happened whatever came about with these now almost 40 year old men…. One of the students they’re particularly got it the worst real bad Lane was his name man he got a lot more than just a pepper spray poor dude… The place gave me a lot of time and put me in a lot of different situations to gain much made some great friends (brothers)… So in conclusion I would say if they had a better trained staff with obviously some credentials and certifications in some kind of aspect of working with teenage youth… The start of the tranquility Bay program would have gone off a lot better than it did… GO DIGNITY!!! LOL. MUCH LOVE. P.S..the seminars that yet we had to go through to complete levels to go home we’re flawed the most… Every one of us that was in there we’re dealing with multiple different issues that weren’t the same but we were demanded to fix all these different issues and all these different people with the same seminars and if they didn’t think that you were dealing with your issues only seminars then you didn’t pass and that you didn’t move up in levels.. the seminars weren’t often that’s for damn sure…

Hey Adam G,
Michael W. if you remember me. You, Jeff C. and I, all shared the same room for a bit i think we were level 4 at this point. I guess just wanted to acknowledge your testimony and I am glad to see, at least I hope, that you have a made a good life.\ for yourself. I still remember the Red Ant incident in the front of the main building (this was at the third location in Jamaica If my memory serves me correct), you got eat up so bad. I wonder how all the other are doing. I actually ran into Jeff C. down in california. He seemed to be doing alright for himself.
I remember all you guys, in some way you were all my older brothers. Berkely B., Jeremey T., You, Jeff C, Brock, Addie.
One name I will never forget well two actually, but the one that I feel for the most
Layne B. Man did he get the worst of it. More then any of us ever did. All of us kids jsut sat back and took what ever they could dish out. Sometimes I wonder why we didnt rebel or revolt for all the inhuman injustices that we went through.
I know why, we were just kids. We didn’t know any better, I mean our brains weren’t even fully developed yet, or our bodies. I arrived 120 lbs 5’7″ left 6’1″ 180lbs.
Stay safe Adam G.
