Hello, now this program was not a WWASP program (in fact it was there before and after WWASP closed AND is still somehow in service). But that aside this place was quite brutal anyway.

Woods Services is a residential school for kids with varying levels of Autism in Langhorne Pennsylvania. AND I WAS enrolled there until 2011.

Like the WWASP schools this place would use force to keep kids in check. I once had a staff member named Zohair DAMn near strangle me to death while restraining me over something trivial.

The school is segregated between sexes and level of DISABILITY as well. But abuse happens everywhere. While I was there on the more disabled side, a nonverbal adult named Brian Nevins was abandponed in a HOt van by a staff member and DIED. Before I was there they had a kid die of an appendix illness after staff ignored him (this was on the side of the FACility I would later be at).

This place is usually used as a dumping ground for parents who can’t deal with kids with disabilities. Now the school itself isn’t the problem. Its the residential bit where the abuse HAPPENS, however the education is quite inadequate and set me back several years.

Another incident springs to mind, staff members let a kid named Marty bite my friend Matt, blood Was drawn and Marty only got a slap on the wrist. Matt’s parents would later file a lawsuit against Woods but due to their high POWEred lawyers and them not being that well off, they would lose.

TLDR: There are issues with abusive students & staff at a school for people WITh disabilities in Pennsylvania.
