Honestly we weren’t even looking for this, but what we stumbled upon was quite troubling… What’s even more surprising is WHO we found to be involved. We’ve uncovered connections between local utah sex offenders, the Lichfield’s, a child prostitution ring and a polygamist cult. The scariest of all being that which we DO NOT know about these people and their involvement with this school.
According to City-Data.com, 3 out of the 4 registered sex offenders of the town La Verkin Utah, ALL live on the same block, not 2 blocks from the WWASP School Cross Creek Programs. A “therapeutic boarding school” owned and operated by Robert Lichfield and now loaning room and board to the affiliated program Horizon Academy, owned by Jade Robinson.
Is this simply a coincidence or is there a reason that pedophiles might flock to the site of the WWASP schools? That’s something I shudder to wonder. In the wake of the Sandusky case many people who once believed in the importance of adult mentorship have to wonder what really drives these men to work with kids in the first place. Especially how easily a pedophile in a position of authority can use their influence to abuse and manipulate their victims. Considering the nature of these programs, it would be all too easy for a sex offender to work here, gain unlimited access and control over these children and exploit them for their own sick pleasure. All too often, Pedophiles are Sociopaths and expert liars and manipulators, and they will seem like the last person you would suspect to harbor such insidious intentions. Something we have seen all too often in the troubled teen industry, which would really lead a parent to wonder if you could ever really know who you can trust with your children.
I wonder if any of them have worked at this school, as night watchmen or general staff (those without any qualifications hired to watch and restrain kids at their own discretion.) Even if any of them don’t work here, they are still living less than the law provides sex offenders of 2,000 ft. from the school, God forbid some poor kid tried to run away and sought shelter from one of these people, considering they are one of the most immediate residences in the area it’s far too possible. The two men closest to the facility are over 70, so although I hate to tell a parent not to be worried I think the one we NEED to worry about is a woman named Sharon Kapp Olsen who was once a member of a polygamist sect spear-headed by Arvin Shreeve, and was convicted of sodomy on a child, sexual exploitation and assault on a minor. My investigation into this case lead me to find this troubling article concerning the case. To my surprise but who’s name do we see? That’s right Lichfield, a Mark W. Lichfield… But a Lichfield none the less. I’m guessing by his age that he could be Robert Lichfield’s brother, cousin or within the same immediate family generation as Robert. Either way, My worry isn’t entirely in Sharon Kapp’s past, it’s where a woman convicted of 3 Felony counts of child abuse can get a job so soon after serving 9 years in prison… Where does she work? And do her connections with Lichfield afford her a position at the school? Or could she somehow be a benefactor? This I really need to know. Cuz that’s an awful nice house for someone who’s likely to not find a job in this economy. Or maybe she just got a little Lichfield “shut-up” money to get her back on her feet after she took a fall for the scandal.
Furthermore where is Mark W. Lichfield working now?… Being as he is also a registered sex offender, and classified as a pedophile with intent to re-offend, I’ll admit I am a little more than worried about his relation to Robert Lichfield and the WWASP schools. These schools breed an environment that would be the ideal setting for a pedophile to target his victims. It would be all too easy for a staff member to trade sexual favors for basic necessities or to speed up the students program. I know we have heard of this far too many times before in the Troubled Teen Industry, but the question is, is this happening at Cross Creek Programs?

I just watched a show about Sharon kapp and wanted to see what she was up to today. My heart breaks to see that she is around other children and teenage girls. Why has the police not kicked in the door. She was so guilty but never really took responsibility but said she was the scape goat. Yeah right there are many survivors of Sharon kapp

Thank you for sharing your story. Your courage and story have shocked me. I am a local to the Ogden area and am upset I have never heard your story until this week! Because of you, I am researching polygamy in this area. I am attempting to find if old members of the zion community are continuing to practice their belives as well as where they are now.
I was that teen girl you guys were talking about previously- as for her turning me against my mother, my mom did some heinous things to the point I had to get away. If I wasn’t with my mom or my Grandmother- I was on the streets. My grandma hasn’t ever sexually abused me or anything in that matter.
That being said, I’ve read the book “Decieved”, I’ve watched the show “who the Bleep..” listened to “profiling Evil” and have done some extensive research on the case. I wasnt there, and I’m not stating anything on my grandmothers behalf.
My heart goes out to the victims.
My Grandmother has a very horrible past- I’m completely baffled as being a mother today.
I just wanted to clarify any idea that my Grandmother had abused me in anyway shape or form when living with her or my grandfather.
I only have good memory’s with them- but that doesn’t take away the things she did in that horrible place.
