Narvin Lichfield
Narvin has had a long and checkered history with WWASP.  The brother of Robert Litchfield, Narvin appears to have gotten his start with WWASP in 1998 when he opened Carolina Springs Academy, functioning as both owner and Administrator.  He then went on to open, concurrently with CSA, The Academy at Dundee Ranch in Costa Rica in (year) . In 2003, Dundee Ranch was shut down by Costa Rican Child welfare authorities due to allegations that children were being held against their will (illegal in Costa Rica) and were being abused. Officials also found 100 of 193 students did not have the required immigration papers. Litchfield was arrested  and charged with abuse and violations of international law. He was then ordered by the state of South Carolina to stay away from CSA until the case resolved, which wasn’t completed until 2007. But Narvin kept busy, re-opening Dundee Ranch under the new name Pillars of Hope (or “Pilares de Esparanza”.) POH was billed as facility for 18-22 year-olds, but there are mulitple reports of children under 18 being held there.  In 2010, CSA was closed. Narvin vowed to reopen, but backed off that claim when he was arrested by authorities in South Carolina in 2011 after he was pulled over and determined to have been driving on a suspended license and without insurance. He was also served with 3 summonses regarding bad checks written on CSA’s closed checking account totaling about $2,000. Narvin was also named as a defendant in two other lawsuits, namely Lexington Insurance Company vs. Carolina Springs et al., a personal injury suit, and the Turley class action suit. Narvin Currently runs the former property of Carolina Springs Academy as Seneca Ranch.

    DearAnti- WWASP
My name is Dr. Harold Dabel We formally request that you cease and desist using the trade marked name of Seneca Ranch in conjunction with the defunct WWASP owned and controlled by one Robert Lichfield. We have no relationship with Robert Lichfield in any form contractually or otherwise or the defunct WWASP. Narvin Lichfield consults with us as we have leased the facility through his influence and he helps us by consulting but we have nothing to do with the past facilities. we have now collected over 30 clients that quoted you as the reason they didn’t place their child for an average of $40,000 a piece or $1.2 million dollars in real damages plus defamation and our next step is to report your actions to legal authorities for fraud then sue for the damages all ready received by your slander defamation and libel. You have 2 days to have the name Seneca Ranch removed permently from your crusade against the Wwasp otherwise you will be refered to counsel that we have obtained for this purpose
    Sincerely p
    Dr Harold Dabel

We welcome any and all information that might PROVE that the connection between WWASP and Seneca Ranch is no longer valid however, We do not refer to Seneca Ranch as affiliated by business ties to WWASP as WWASP is technically defunct. We refer to the connection by ties to Narvin Lichfield and the former employment of staff, the nature of the program and inherit program model and occupation of the facility being a former WWASP program. Our criteria for identifying a WWASP school is the program model they use… We refer to several dangerous policies employed by a typical WWASP program and strongly encourage parents to be aware of these polices and not to enroll their child if these policies are obviously present in the program model. We make this warning of ALL Troubled Teen Programs regardless of their affiliation or any other business ties.
The loss of revenue that you have experienced is a product of the fact that the public is now aware of the negative effects of these methods and do not want to put their children in danger. The best way to change that is to take very seriously the feedback we are giving on this website about what kind of policies are abusive, unethical and dangerous. Changing your policies and transforming your program into an legitimate treatment facility would be the ONLY way you are to stay in business.
Trying to silence us, well… That would be a lot harder. You think you could sue us for speaking out against our abusers? Narvin Lichfield and you Dr Harold Dabel happen to be those very people. Please take a lesson from WWASP and realize this tactic has never worked before and it will never work… Besides, we welcome the chance to bring to light all of the evidence we have against Narvin Lichfield, all former Carolina Springs/ Dundee Ranch/ Pillars of Hope staff, including you Dr Dabel and show that we are within our rights to report on the survivor testimonies that have been submitted to us.
If you would like to show in good faith that you have made significant changes to the program model that was inherited from WWASP, feel free to contact us and schedule a time to give an investigative tour to one of our private investigators. We will be happy to give you that chance to prove that you are not the program that you have been reported to be. However, until this process is completed and we can publish a comprehensive report of the current state of your program model, we will maintain your very obvious connection to the Lichfield’s and the WWASP program model.
      Sincerely,
      WWASPSurvivors

My husband and I just finished watching the Netflix documentary The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping. We had no idea of the abuse that has occurred and still occurs in these institutions. I want to praise all of you for exposing the darkness. Keep up the good work! I’m believing this will help many heal. Also, help put an end to this awful abuse along with arrests of the abusers. Blessings to you all!

Just watched the netflix documentary. Much love and respect to all the survivors, I’m sorry you were subjected to so much. I hope all of the charlatans and abusers behind these “schools” are brought to justice.
